Hello all....

Yes, I'm alive and well....Sorry it has been awhile....Busy Busy Busy...I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting slower or if I have too many irons in the fire...I think I will side with the irons...Can't be getting to old, can I???

Keilwitz..Nice hearing from you...Glad I can count on you being here with me...:0)  Hope you had a wonderful weekend with your girls...Always fun to have family time with everybody there....Hope all is well with you..Take Care...

They are talking of some winter white stuff again....I'M READY FOR SPRING!!!  I have a ton of things to do outside whenever the warm weather gets here...I'm ready for some yard work....Then you can ask me in August how the yardwork is doing and I will be sick of it...LOL..That is how I roll folks....Some things in life never change...LOL

BILL WHERE ARE YOU???

Big Drug bust in F-Town a few weeks ago...I think there were 11 people....So wish they could catch the rest of them...UGH...

Don't know a lot (no wise remarks from any of you) so guess I best do something productive before I hit the hay....

Take Care all....

Good Afternoon Everyone!

My, it has been a while since I have been on here.....sorry Cindy!  Good to hear from Jim and Ron too!  Never a dull day here.....but still just the same as most Febuary days.  We are at the tail end of calving...with less then 30 to go....BUT it has been the calving season from HELL!!!  The blizzard/mother nature put us to the test..... as many of you know, that handle livestock, it was a heck of alot of work!!  But we survived, along with the new babies...maybe a couple frozen ears.  I camped on the girls for several days in there...glad I did, I have heard too many stories that many new babies didn't make it through...not because of calving difficulty...but they just simply froze to death!!  Yesterday we got buckets of rain....then last night a blizzard came through, but ended around 10 last night!  Sarge....did you wish bad weather on us while in Florida?   Bill, was it you???  Someone ....PLEASE tell me spring is just around the corner!!!

We got the bulls ready for their BIG day!  The handsome gentlemen are looking so studdly!!  LOL  I love to sell bulls!!  The highlite of the year!!  To visit with customers/friends from past years, see the product of what we have worked for, for two years......genetics that will carry on and be the next steak on your plate!  Anyway, very rewarding to me....to see them come into life....on my watch down here at the barn....then to sell at the sale, on the hill.... and then to see them go to their new homes.  Kind of makes all the hard work of it all go away.

Hope everyone is doing well.......Take care!

Hello Everyone!

Looks a little slow on here.....hope everyone is doing well.

Appears that maybe spring is finally here...thank goodness!  It was a long winter.  The calving  pen is nearly empty...only 4 left to have their babies.  Looking forward to turning the pairs out on green grass in 30 days!   Of course, before that can happen.....burning pastures and over 300 cows plus calves need to go through the chute!

Started the process of running cattle through the chute yesterday to give vaccinations, along with branding and taking weights and other measures that are necessary for registrating with the breed associations.    The Bull Sale was the best on record....with record crowd!  Glad I had enough food for everyone!   Now I'm working on delivery of the ones that are left.

Hope to see more on here...........

Hello all.....

It has been like forever since I have been on here....So so sorry about this!!!...

The weather here has been a bit annoying....We had 9 days without sunshine...Do you realize what this does to a person???  It was so wonderful to see the brightness again this week along with some warmer temperatures....Maybe Spring is coming...I really had my doubts at one point...There was one day where we had lightening, thunder, rain, sleet and snow all in few hours...It was really crazy!!!!

Our lives keep getting busier...I like it as it gives me something to complain about..LOL...The farming has officially begun, so here we go with one more iron in the fire...:0)....Tyler has been gradually moving some of his belongings from our home to his and things he isn't using in Lincoln...He only has a few more weeks of college left and then he is officially done...Except for his continuing education with appraising and real estate....He will get it all done in time...Plus getting married!!!!  It has been a sad and happy moment for me watching him take things from our house to his....Happy that he has made something of himself, that he is getting married, and that a new chapter is beggining in his book...Sad, cuz my baby is all grown up, its just me and Big Jer in the house now, and I am officially an empty nester...UGH...Where did the time go???  WOW!!!

The wedding plans and duties have kind of been put on hold for a tiny bit....The kids just want to get through the next few weeks and then the planning can start up again...Bridal shower this weekend, so that should be fun....I still need to get a dress etc.....This is stressing me out...Maybe I should just wear my jeans...LOL...

So what has been going on in your lives....Mine seems pretty boring if you ask me...:0/  I'm ready for vacation, and I have to wait a few weeks longer than normal cuz Big Jer set it back a couple weeks this year...WTH....I will be nuts by then!!  I know I'm already there....

Wishing you all a beautiful Spring....Have a great weekend!!!Take care classmates!!!

Classmates, we lost on VERY good friend yesterday and he will be missed by many.  I sure doesn't seem like Christmas.  I do however want to wish each and every one of you a joyous holiday season.

Howdy Big Boy,

Hope all is well in the Promised Land !!. I wish you were here in the real world. I wish I could have spent more time with you when you were around.

Hope you don't look at my punctuation or spelling because I will be screwed.....as you can already tell...

Roe, you were a Hell of a Friend and competitor. I remember all the Basketball, Football, Baseball that we played together. You were always there for me, as I was for you. Your love and life for the sports, friends, and the respect of life will always be etched in me. Your a Goddamn good man that went way to soon..

I wish I could have told you this when I had the Chance. I guess we all take life for granted..We seem invincible. We are not.

I will say it now. Roe, I love ya.

Roe, you will never be forgotten. Not by me anyway, to many good times to forget that.

You were the center of the Football Team, center of the Basketball Team, and center of a whole Hell of alot of people's lives around the Country.

I want to write more but the tears for you are about to short out my computer.

I'am going to hoist a beer for you Roe, just like we did in September when we saw ya!!!!!  It's for you and everything you did for all.

Once again my Friend, I love ya.  We will be meeting again.......

                                                         Captain, Bill

12/27/12 06:09 PM #6867

Doug "Sarge" Klaumann

Lou, what you wrote was simply amazing.  You and many others share the same feelings and love to Roe.  He did SO much for many of us that words alone will never be able to explain it.  He left us WAY too soon and no one can dispute that.

I too have many fond memories of him and his warm smile and ability to gab.  Heck, I think he could sell ice to an eskimo.  No one and i mean NO one thought we could win a state championship in basketball because we, "didn't fit the mold for a basketball team".  But we believed and Roe believed and we not only won state, we dominated.

Life is precious and we know that.  We're to the point in life that we realize it more and more each day.  With that being said, I want YOU Bill to know that you as Roe and ALL my other classmates will always have a specal place in my heart.  Hoist that beer high my friend...
